Sharing Your Experience on Social Media

Our supporters and volunteers are the very heart of what we do! As one of those dedicated supporters, your experiences and stories are priceless to spreading the word about the important work we do to keep thousands of aging and homebound individuals fed, safe, and connected.

We encourage you to share your Meals on Wheels story in your own words along with photos or video of you delivering meals, packing meals, grocery shopping, or calling clients. Here are some tools to help you get started.

  • Copy and paste the suggested social media posts listed below, or write and share your own customized posts
  • Add the #mealsonwheelsmd hashtag to your social media posts, and engage with us via your own social media accounts
  • Follow @mealsonwheelsmd on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIN, and/or YouTube and share our content
  • Upload a photo to Instagram and caption it with one of the suggested posts below

When thinking of what to say about your experience or perspective on being a Meals on Wheels volunteer, consider your answers to these questions:

  • Can you tell me about an aspect of a volunteer experience that you’ve really enjoyed?
  • Why do you think Meals on Wheels is a good match for you to share your time?
  • What do you think is the most important work you do for the community through Meals on Wheels?
