Grocery Shoppers

Grocery shoppers shop for an individual homebound individual in their area. Once the volunteer is matched they work closely with their client to schedule shopping, preparing grocery lists, and help put groceries away.  Each shopping trip averages one to three hours.  The volunteer committment for this program is a minimum of one year. 

Kibble Connection

Volunteers pick up pet food from the MDSPCA, 4 times a year and deliver to 4-5 homebound individuals with cats and dogs. The volunteer committment for this program is one year.  

Phone Pals

Volunteers make contact with isolated individuals by phone once a week. Calls typically last about a half hour and can be made from the volunteer's home or office. The time commitment for this program is a minimum of six months.

Friendly Companion Program

Volunteers help homebound individuals stay connected with the outside world with social visits and weekly phone calls. The visiting schedule is arranged between the volunteer and the individual, and lasts approximately 1-2 hours. The minimum time commitment for this program is one year
