October 2020: Meals on Wheels still delivers! The Beacon Newspaper interviews a current Meals on Wheels’ client, volunteer, and executive director Stephanie Archer-Smith. The pandemic brought rapid and significant changes to how Meals on Wheels serves and delivers. Requests for services tripled from 25,000 meals a week to 75,000. Read the full story here.

Community coming together has been a key theme in answering the call to serve during the pandemic. MISCellaneous Distillery did their part to answer that call when they started producing hand sanitizer and donating hundreds of bottles to Meals on Wheels on Central Maryland. Since March 17th, Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland has produced, packed and delivered over 500,000 nutritious, ready-to-heat and eat meals to homebound seniors and other vulnerable populations who are without access to food. We quickly expanded our meal volume from 25,000 meals weekly to over 75,000 meals.
