Theron is recently retired, and now devotes his skills to community service, with a particular interest in promoting change for a healthier physical environment for future generations.
Theron graduated from Union College with a degree in Political Science. His career began as a carpenter’s helper, and progressed through construction sales, estimating and project management. Beginning in 1985, he served sixteen years as President of Russell, Hodges & Roberts, Inc., a Baltimore-area construction firm specializing in commercial and institutional building renovations. This was followed by fourteen years as Vice President of Forest City Ratner Companies, where he managed design and construction of large-scale urban-infill projects in the Philadelphia and New York markets.
He previously served on the Board and Executive Committee of the Better Business Bureau of Greater Maryland. Theron is currently active in his homeowners association, and is a member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Baltimore, and also the Baltimore Chapter, Construction Specifications Institute, an organization dedicated to clear, concise communications within the construction industry.
Theron lives in Baltimore City with his wife Pam, occupying a 67 year old home they recently renovated to substantially reduce reliance on carbon fuels.
