Gary Peisach

Gary Peisach is the Senior Vice President of Operations for Saval Foods, the largest independent broad-line distributor in the Mid-Atlantic area. He has been at Saval Foods since May 2005. Gary joined the company as VP of Operations and was quickly involved in their acquisition of a meat processing facility, the expansion of their warehouse (doubling the square footage) and the implementation of a new warehouse management system. He currently manages the operations of this $100 million distributor as well as senior management responsibilities at Saval’s meat processing plant, Deli Brands of America.

Gary comes from an extensive food manufacturing and distribution background. As co-founder and COO of Ms. Desserts, Gary was responsible for all the manufacturing and distribution of this Award Winning gourmet dessert manufacturer from 1978-1992. After selling the company Gary spent 10 years at Baltimore Spice in variety of positions.

Gary serves as Vice President on the Board at Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland and has been a member of the Board since May 2011. He has served on the Strategic Planning Committee, Finance Committee and Kitchen Committee. He previously held the position as Immediate Past President.

Gary is a native of Baltimore and attended the University of Maryland College Park. He is married to Betsy Peisach, VP of Education at Maryland Public Television and they have three wonderful grown children. In their spare time they enjoy kayaking and hiking.
