Description:
Meals on Wheels Drivers are essential to performing our meal delivery service. Earning tax-deductible miles and performing a valuable community service, use your vehicle to perform the most basic function of our agency: Deliver meals to elderly and disabled homebound people in your community.
Meals are delivered in teams of 2 every weekday around 11AM at distributioin sites throughout Baltimore City and County as well as Anne Arundel, Carroll, Harford, and Howard counties. Arrive once a week or so around 11AM at a distribution site in your area. Routes are designed to take about an hour or 2 of your time and most volunteers deliver once a week, every other week, once a month, or on a substitute basis.
Volunteer Drivers "Deliver the Visitor" to clients' residences. Meals are delivered in Driver/Visitor teams. We can match you up with a volunteer Visitor or you can recruit your own partner to deliver with you.
