Function and Scope:

A dependable person is needed to recook cook/chill items, cook frozen food items, and portion hot bulk food for shipment and pre-packaging.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
1. Pans, seasons, and steams all vegetables
2. Provides hot food assembly line with panned food; replenishes as needed
3. Records hot food temperatures
4. Works on the cold food assembly line when needed
5. Adheres to all local, state, and federal health directives

Qualifications:

1. Working knowledge of HACCP guidelines.
2. Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and proper food handling techniques
3. Knowledge of various pieces of cooking and reheating equipment
4. Knowledge of portion control
5. Ability to work well individually and in teams
6. Ability to speak, read, and write English
7. Self-motivated with an ability to set priorities, perform under pressure, and execute all tasks with specific attention to detail and deadlines.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
1. Two or more years of quantity hot food production experience desirable
2. Prior experience with cook/chill desirable, although training is available
