$8.35 per hour (non-negotiable)
Function and Scope:
A dependable person is needed to deliver bulk and packaged food from Central Kitchen to distribution sites, day care facilities, congregate eating sites, and home delivered meals to clients while driving Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland vehicles. This position is on an ON-CALL BASIS ONLY.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Must have experience driving Cargo Vans or larger vehicles.
2. Must be able to navigate vehicle using a road map.
3. Familiar with Baltimore City/County and surrounding county roads.
4. Able to follow all driving safety guidelines required by the agency and Maryland law.
5. Willing and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
6. Able to perform all functions with minimum supervision.
Qualifications:
1. Possesses a valid Maryland driver's license.
2. Possesses a good driving record at time of hiring, with no more than 2 points.
3. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
4. Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and criminal background check.
5. Must be willing to work any holiday that falls Monday through Friday.
