Employee Recognition Program

Employee Recognition Program
September 2011

The Senior Managers at Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland have implemented a program that recognizes members of the staff for their dedicated efforts in helping the agency achieve its mission. This quarter a few stellar individuals have stood out from the crowd. These individuals were chosen for their reliability and attendance:

Thomas (Tony) Kennedy

Distribution

Tony is a very reliable employee. He has great knowledge of his Harford County delivery route.  Tony realizes the importance of commitment, and is willing at all times to accommodate any volunteers working with him.  He also has his own assigned home bound clients.  Tony performs daily maintenance on his vehicle and reports all problems promptly.  Tony’s attendance record is very good and always works within his assigned daily hours.  Tony Kennedy is an asset to Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland.

Allan Robinson

Harford County

Allan is absolutely consistent in everything he does.  He is an extremely independent worker who handles everything that’s thrown at him with diligence, wisdom, discretion and persistence.  When crises arise, he invariably comes up with a solution to address the situation in the best possible way.   Furthermore, he can be trusted to get the routine work done on time and well, all the time. Whether it's recruiting volunteers, getting meals out, or handling paperwork, his attendance is superb.

Robin Valentine

Finance

Robin, in her short time with MOWCM, has become a tremendous asset to the organization.  Not only is her attendance and reliability exemplary, she has expressed eagerness and willingness to jump into situations in need of support.  She displays a strong work ethic, strong attention to detail, and creativity in problem solving.  She would qualify for employee recognition in all of the quarterly criteria, every quarter.

Janet Lankford

Finance

Besides the fact that Janet meets the criteria for the award (reliability based upon her position as a client specialist), Janet goes out of her way to continuously assure that raffles, food and organization of events for fellow employees is carried out for our benefit and enjoyment.  We can always rely on Janet and so it does “fit” this category.

Rebecca Haines-Maggio

Anne Arundel County

Rebecca is a very reliable employee of MOW Anne Arundel County Program.  As an Administrative Assistant/ Intake Worker, Rebecca uses common sense and compassion daily to deal with client concerns, issues and situations in a very professional manner.  She knows how to handle the usual problems and concerns.  Rebecca is able to “see the whole picture” and make decisions and suggestions that are rational, well founded and beneficial to the organization.  Rebecca’s work is completed in a timely fashion while being correct and accurate.  She multi-tasks and plans ahead.  In spite of a busy personal life and working mother, Rebecca has a good attendance record and has never been absent for an unjustified reason. Rebecca is always on time and works very well independently.

Phillip Douglas

Volunteer Services

Phillip is a very reliable employee and a very hard worker.  He has a great work ethic.

Evelyn Bond

Food Services

Evelyn is a reliable employee that helps out in all areas of the kitchen.  Evelyn is always on time for work and follows food service policies.  Evelyn always has a positive attitude and is an asset to the food service team.
