The Senior Managers at Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland have implemented a program that recognizes members of the staff for their dedicated efforts in helping the agency achieve its mission. This quarter a few stellar individuals have stood out from the crowd. These individuals were chosen for their customer service and accuracy:
Jovan Davis – Central Kitchen
This quarter, Jovan has been very accurate in packing out all cold food items for all childcare sites. During the past year, Jovan’s work performance has really improved, which makes him more accurate in his overall job duties. He always reports to work on time, and helps his co-workers in the kitchen after his normal assignments have been completed. His commitment to quality is clear in all he does. He is truly deserving of this honor.
Elizabeth Galea – Volunteer Services
For the six years Liz has been with the company, she constantly strives to go above and beyond for her department. She performs an outstanding job as a Volunteer Recruiter. She has set up the Lunch Bunch team with the Shelter Group Properties. This is a huge conglomerate that will not only increase the volunteers in
Patricia Harper – Weinberg Site
For the past six years, Pat has been operating the Weinberg site very smoothly. Her volunteers love her because of her effective communication skills, and because of her efforts to ensure they feel appreciated every day. She is very reliable which is shown by her ability to competently and independently solve all issues/problems that arise at the site. Her easy going nature and keen organization skills have shown her to be a dedicated and reliable staple at our Kosher Site.
Linda Kroeger –
Linda has been a paid driver at the Howard County Kitchen for the past 2 years. She continually demonstrates a dedication to the mission & clients of MOWCM. Recently, she has gone out of her way to check on a client when she knew the person did not have available family members. Linda has also been known to communicate client issues to local social services agencies in an effort to better assist the clients with their needs. She also has taken the initiative to learn other routes before it is suggested to her. Her dedication to seeing a project from end to end is second to none. Linda is truly an integral part of
Margaret Toole – Sherwood Site
In the two years she has been with the company, Peggy has proven to be a phenomenally effective Site Coordinator. Her capability to recognize and act in response to an opportunity always results in success. Peggy is a stellar communicator. She sets up much of her own recruiting efforts, and effectively and independently manages all problems that arise at the site. Her sense of professionalism and client commitment has never ceased to impress those that work with her. She is truly an asset to the company.
Elizabeth Turner – Client Services
Liz has been with the company for three years. Over the past few months, the site coordinators have raved about how helpful she has been with their concerns. Liz makes sure that she follows through with all client concerns that came up on a daily basis. In the past, client concerns have reportedly been lost in the shuffle. Now the Baltimore Site Coordinators have said that if they call with an issue, they know Liz will see it through to completion. Liz truly deserves to be congratulated and rewarded for providing customer service and support well beyond the expectations of our company.
Tina Wallace - Distribution
Tina has been a Central Van Driver for the company for the past three years. In that time, she has developed a good relationship with everyone she comes in contact with. Her extraordinary commitment to excellence in customer service and support motivates her to always go the extra mile. She is sure to report all client concerns promptly, and her clients appreciate all she does for them. She also has a good working relationship with the daycares and drop sites. The time she takes to ensure the happiness of others should inspire us all.
