Employee Recognition Program
Employee Recognition Program
April 2009
The Senior Managers at Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland have implemented a program that recognizes members of the staff for their dedicated efforts in helping the agency achieve its mission. This quarter a few stellar individuals have stood out from the crowd. These individuals were chosen for:
Ronald Briscoe - Distribution
Since his start, Ron has been a dedicated employee committed to strict standards of excellence. He always brings vehicle and operations safety issues to the attention of his management team. He has an excellent driving record, and carries out the vehicle maintenance plan on his vehicle meticulously and independently. In these efforts and more, Ron has set himself apart as an asset to the MOWCM Distribution Office.
Ineather Dukes – Client Services
Ineather Dukes – Client ServicesIneather has been with the company 7 years. When she began, many of the current technologies MOWCM workers enjoy were not in place. This past quarter, Ineather has endeavored to become proficient with two Microsoft Office programs in efforts to maximize her productivity for the company. The effort and energy she has put into learning these programs is a perfect example of what can be accomplished when an employee displays a positive attitude combined with persistence and determination to achieve a goal. Kudos to Ineather for embracing change and attempting a prolific work style.
Clifton Dunn – Distribution
Clifton
Richard Fisher – Glen Burnie
Jean Geddes – Harford Office
All who’ve worked with Jean know her to be a dedicated worker who has continued to produce quality work even in the face of adverse circumstances. Recently, she was given the task of maintaining the Contact Management Website. The task was performed with such detailed professionalism that it enabled the smooth transactions of all who’ve used the program after her. Jean made the effort to inform other staff with access to the system of the gaps she found in the system. She then followed-up with the respective employees to see that the tasks were completed. As a company, we are grateful to have an employee with such foresight and attention to detail.
Robert Kurth – Annapolis Site
Bob has proven to be a model team player. He maintains an open, friendly working relationship with all the volunteers with which he interacts. He has proven to be valued asset for the site manager during the most hectic periods with the volunteers each day, and has served as an informal liaison between the volunteers and MOWCM management when pertinent issues arise. Always responsible, Bob constantly meets his deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail. He has proven to be a trustworthy and well respected member of our team, and has proven his weight in gold with his patience and attentiveness. The company is better for having him on our team.
Shirley Sheldon – Central Kitchen
Shirley is a dedicated member of the food service team who helps open the Central Kitchen at 4:30 AM daily. She will not hesitate to put in extra hours to ensure the proper completion of the day’s activities. She adapts well to the daily changing conditions, and remains efficient and productive even when faced with new and unexpected duties. Shirley has become known for the quality of her work, which is above the management’s expected outcomes for the specified criteria. As a supervisor, Shirley models well the work ethic and behavior the company requires of all its employees.
Caterria Taylor – Central Kitchen
There are those of us who like to believe we are quick learners, and then there are those of us who just are. In the past year that she’s been with MOWCM, Terri has proven to be a walker not a talker. Hired on as a Food Service Worker, she has already mastered her own skills and has begun aiding others in the accelerated tasks the Central Kitchen workers have taken on in the past 6 months. She readily takes on any task asked of her, can perfectly complete anything shown to her only once, and will consistently produce flawless results. Her efforts are highly appreciated.
